What happens if we are not able to satisfy the
standard in all the assessment areas?
Failure in one area does not
necessarily mean you will fail to achieve the award:
we will be looking for signs that you are actively planning
to raise your standards in welcome and hospitality.
Where is the award presented?
At your own site.
The plaque is presented by a member of our organisation or a
notable member of the local community.
Can the award be taken away from an organisation?
The plaque is on loan and could be
withdrawn if the standard isn’t maintained or the annual membership
isn’t renewed.
Do accredited sites get a link to their own
website?
Yes
Can I attend quarterly meetings?
Yes if your site is registered.
Membership entitles your organisation to be represented at
the quarterly steering group meetings.
Are there trustees?
Yes the constitution allows for 5 trustees – there is one
vacancy at present.
